Red Velvet – Second Try

I wasn’t happy with the way the Red Velvet cupcakes came out last week so I made a last minute recipe change.  I’m making 4 different kinds of cake pops this weekend: Chocolate/Peanut Butter, Vanilla/Almond, Pineapple/Coconut and Red Velvet. I’m hoping to sell them to raise money for my Avon Walk campaign.

I decided to give the Red Velvet cake recipe from Joanne Chang’s Flour cookbook a try. Here are some gratuitous close ups:
